Welcome to our Friend Fee... Posted on 07/23/2007
Hope Ranch welcomes Felicia "Fee"
Lee, as the new Camp Coordinator for our
programs.
Fee brings over 20 years of educational experience,
across all grade levels, to Hope Ranch's
summer camps, and we are thrilled that someone
who is so versed in archaeology both in the
field and in the lab is here to add to the
value of our campers' adventures in the science
of archaeology.
Hominy Creek gives up it's secrets... Posted on 08/13/2007
Campers in Hope Ranch's summer Digging Through
The Past program have unearthed a wealth
of pot shards, arrow heads and even some
animal remains to the excited trowels of
the dig team.
Thanks to our generous Columbia neighbors
along the Hominy, and the University of Missouri-Columbia
and their excellent lab, there will be a
lot more field trips and excavations in the
coming years in this area. We look forward
to the time when Hope Ranch and our amazing
campers will be able to set up a full Museum
on our site, in conjunction with the University.
And another summer ends... Posted on 8/31/2007
As always, the last bus heading for the world outside of our home on the Hominy Creek brings a sadness to every one of us at Hope Ranch. We look forward to seeing you again next year, as we continue our adventures in archaeology and I am happy to say that I will be taking on the role of Associate Camp Director for next year's Hope Ranch Summer Camp. I have had so much fun working with these amazing young minds, and I hope to expand the summer camp concept into a community program, where local students from all educational levels can explore this area.
I look forward to seeing our returning campers next summer, and meeting all of the new campers as well. - Fee
Hope Ranch Foundation Altai Expedition... Posted on 11/1/2007
An expedition into the Altai Mountains of Siberia has entered the planning stages, as Hope Ranch Foundation has received a generous grant to explore the ice caves and burial grounds near where Natalia Polosmak and her team found the vaunted 'Ice Maiden" in 1993, and most recently, "The Warrior", a 2000 year old male mummy found in the same region in January of this year.

The full expedition is expected to run through
